Gathering this information for a gadget you already own is kind of after the fact. Unless you have the receipt, you won’t be able to exchange it for a more energy efficient version. Barring that, the Electrical Watt Meter will allow you to determine which appliances cost the most to run. Knowing that you will be able to schedule your day so that you can run them at off peak electrical hours. The more advanced Watts Up? Electrical Watt Meters allow you to upload this data to a website where you can receive an even more detailed analysis. 

The Watts Up? Electrical Watt Meter handles 16 electrical measurements and will display its corresponding values. The meter will also help you diagnose basic electrical problems. It can help you identify voltage decreases, gauge line voltage and identify electrical problems. These features are better used by skilled electricians and other service specialists.  

Cable Organizer’s Watt’s Up? Product line prices range from $72.95 to $195.95. For those that want to identify the “energy hogs” among their gadgets, this product is an excellent choice. Some of its features can be dangerous in the novice hands. This raises the question as to why Cable Organizer didn’t limit the product to licensed electricians. It’s a bad thing when a company puts profits ahead of consumer safety.
