BenQ S6 is the first Atom-powered Mobile Internet Device

When you have an Intel Atom powered UMPC, you don’t really need your desktop, do you? Driven by an 800MHz processor, the BenQ S6 packs a potent punch in its small form. It is a Mobile Internet Device (MID) that offers 512MB memory and 2GB SSD, along with connectivity options like Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi and HSDPA. Other features include a stylus-enabled 4.8inch WVGA touchscreen, built-in G-sensor, mini USB and microSD slot.

Pricing and Availability: The BenQ S6 MID retails for €429 (approx US9).

Watch This: As a powerful internet device and UMPC, the S6 is a desirable gadget if you have to travel quite a bit. And for those of us who are just seeking some fun, BenQ’s MID offers a lively “free-surf” UI. We are certainly awaiting the launch of this interesting gadget.
