TICKER Clockworks robot doesn’t tick, but is a collector’s item

Most of us have our priorities clearly defined when it comes to gadget love. However, there are times when we tend to become accommodating when the object in question is really idiosyncratic and adorable. TICKER the clockworks robot isn’t the most intelligent of robots, and we doubt if there is any intelligence exhibited by it. Standing 16 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide, it makes for a great collector’s item for two reasons. One, it is fabricated with 80% recycled materials. And two, inside its metal sheath are old French and American clock parts. Created by Will Wagenaar, the TICKER robot may not “tick” enough to deserve the name. However, it does look appealing enough for us to take it home.
